The Kenya Gaming and Gambling license is a document issued by the Betting Control and Licensing Board, a regulatory body established under the Betting, Lotteries, and Gaming Act of 1966. The license is required for any individual or business that wishes to operate a gaming or gambling establishment in Kenya.

To obtain a Kenya Gaming and Gambling license, an applicant must first meet a number of requirements set out in the Betting, Lotteries, and Gaming Act and its accompanying regulations. These requirements include:

The applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
The applicant must not have any previous convictions related to gambling, gaming, or other related activities.
The applicant must have a valid identification document, such as a national ID card or passport.
The applicant must have a clean criminal record and must not have been declared bankrupt.
The applicant must have a clean financial record and must not have any outstanding tax obligations.
The applicant must have a valid certificate of good conduct issued by the Kenyan Police.
The applicant must not be an undischarged bankrupt or have any outstanding debts to the government or any other public authority.
In addition to these general requirements, there are also specific requirements that apply to different types of gaming and gambling establishments. For example, a person who wishes to operate a casino must have a minimum net worth of KES 100 million (about USD 950,000), while a person who wishes to operate a sports betting business must have a minimum net worth of KES 5 million (about USD 47,500).

Once an applicant has met these requirements, they can then proceed to submit a license application to the Betting Control and Licensing Board. The application must be accompanied by the relevant application fee, which varies depending on the type of license being applied for.

Once the application has been received, the Board will review it to ensure that all the necessary requirements have been met. If the application is deemed to be complete and compliant, the Board will issue the license, which will be valid for a period of one year.
